We are committed to offering only genuine designer pieces. If we suspect an item to be counterfeit or have any doubts whatsoever, the item will not be selected. We work alongside skilled authenticators to guarantee that every designer item available through RUSE is 100% authentic. If required, our team may contact you for additional authentication documents.


Online orders are processed and shipped by Canada Post. Please allow 48 hours for processing and be sure to provide all address details including apartment/suite/building number, and company name if applicable. We do not ship to PO boxes unless additional information is provided. You will receive a confirmation email after the payment, and an additional email confirming shipment.

Orders will include a tracking number. Orders that cannot be received for whatever reason will either be re-shipped (at the customer’s expense) or cancelled. In that case, you will be contacted.

RUSE is not responsible for any loss and/or delays of products following shipment from Ruse Boutique to the shipping address. Delayed delivery will not give rise to any penalty nor indemnity, and cannot be used as reason for cancelling an order.

CLICK AND COLLECT (No shipping fee)
In order to avoid shipping fees, Montreal customers can use the option of Click & Collect to purchase the item online and pick it up in store within a 1 month period. Orders will be ready for pickup the following business day, with no confirmation necessary, unless contacted otherwise.

RUSE strives to maintain the highest standards for all of our consignment items.

Every item consigned with us is thoroughly inspected and assessed before reaching our racks or online store. All relevant information regarding item condition is communicated under product information. It is of the utmost importance to read and understand the condition of the item(s) prior to making a purchase through our online store. Although many of the items we list are new or unworn, due to the nature of consignment, many of our items also bear gentle wear and/or minor defects.

Each item is carefully inspected to guarantee quality, authenticity and condition. Once an item is accepted, it is categorized as one of the following: Like New, Excellent, Very Good, Good or Vintage. Refer to the table below for additional information pertaining to the categories for each condition.

Like New Items show no signs of being worn and tags are attached.

Excellent Items are clearly unused but may show very minimal imperfections and tags may or may not be attached.

Very Good Items may show light signs of wear or minor imperfections such as piling, light stains and/or pulled threads.

Good Items may show more prominent signs of wear or imperfections such as moderate stains, piling, pulled threads and/or discolouration.

Vintage Considering the age of the product, items have significant imperfections such as holes, piling, discolouration and/or pulled threads.

If you wish to return your purchase, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your package. All returns must be shipped within 5 business days from the date of receiving the return shipping label. A store credit will be issued for all returns only. No monetary refund will be permitted. Note: Return shipping costs will be deducted from your return credit. Please allow 48 hours for re-authentication and processing before any credits are issued.

  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all products and services offered
  • Teaming up with co-workers to provide excellent sales service in-store and online (Instagram, ECOM), as well as meeting operational expectations
  • Upkeep of clothes and accessories and store cleanliness to ensure a high level of visual standards throughout the day

  • Assist in the creation of SKUs for new merchandise
  • Oversee flow of merchandise in and out of the stock area as well as the shop floor
  • Prepare bags/garment bags of old stock to return to clients after 3 month consignment period is over
  • Ensure that all product is properly sensored, hung in the stock area or stored in containers, per company standards
  • Be knowledgeable of the store's merchandise, back of house and front of house layout
  • Maintain and organized stock area, including merchandise equipment, and non-commercial goods
  • Complete all stock transfers, markdowns, and consolidations and ensure their accuracy
  • Assists the Management Team with sale preparations
  • Help ensure store meets replenishment and maintenance standards
